Worldwide Battle
When you want to dive into a quick game with any opponent, Worldwide Battle is the mode to choose. After picking a game, you enter a 'waiting room' where other opponents from around the world gather. Once enough players have been found, the game begins.
Ranking
42 All-Time
Classics includes an online ranking system that keeps track of your
performances in Worldwide Battle matches. Hone your skills and you
could see yourself at the top of the table, and become the best player
in the world.

Ranking points are deducted from players that
spoil games by quitting during a match. So just be careful not to
switch off your DS in the middle of a game!
Friend Battle
To
battle friends on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection you first need to find out
their friend code, which is unique to their copy of the game. Once you
have both exchanged friend codes, the friend will be added to your
friend roster and you will be able to see when they are playing 42
All-Time Classics. Also, anybody you play against using Local Wireless
link is automatically added to your friend roster.
While playing
with friends over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection you can chat together by
sending and receiving hand-written messages, sketches or stamps. See
