YOUR KITCHEN

ASSISTANT

Cooking Guide doesn’t just contain lots and lots of recipes, it tells you how to make them – literally! The Chef talks through the DS speakers and tells you word-for-word how to make each dish. You also can speak to the DS to say that you’re ready to advance to the next step in the process. It’s a great level of interactivity and the ultimate in convenience when you have your hands full!

Cooking with the Chef

It’s always nice to have some company in the kitchen. When you cook with Cooking Guide, you’ll have the assistance of a friendly Chef who talks you through the finer points of every process involved in a recipe. No matter how simple or complex the procedure, Chef is always on hand with helpful advice every step of the way. And if you miss something the Chef tells you, just say ‘Repeat!’ to have him relay his instructions again. Similarly, by saying ‘Continue!’ or ‘Go Back!’ into the DS microphone, you can advance to the next step in the preparation process or catch something you missed – keeping your hands free for the important business of cooking!

After selecting a recipe

Once you’ve picked out a recipe that whets your appetite, Cooking Guide makes the preparation process as smooth as possible, offering helpful tips on the top screen of the DS as well as details on how long the meal takes to prepare and how many calories it contains. You’ll also be given alternative suggestions for any ingredients that might be hard to come by in your local supermarket, as well as a place to jot down any personal notes that will appear next time you cook a particular recipe. And if a meal really hits the mark, you can add it to your favourites list for easy reference later.
