Exploring The Hotel
The Touch Screen shows you a 2D map of your surroundings, while the opposite screen displays the hotel as seen through the eyes of Kyle Hyde. By sliding your stylus over the Touch Screen, Kyle will turn around and your perspective on the opposite screen will change accordingly. Tapping anywhere on the map will make Kyle start moving in that direction.

While walking through the hotel, the Magnifying Glass icon may
light up at the bottom of the Touch Screen. Tap it, and the Touch
Screen will show a close-up of where you are, allowing you to interact
with your surroundings. You can look around and examine objects simply
by tapping them. Knock on doors, rub dust off an item – the stylus is
your friend.

Look carefully, because clues might be hidden where
you least expect them. The hotel is full of objects that you need to
use, like room keys or equipment. Pick them up and store them in your
inventory. Kyle can carry many objects that will be vital to advancing
the plot. For example, a photograph found in one room may be the key to
get a character in another room to talk later on.

Sometimes you
may see something that strikes you as odd, but no immediate purpose
presents itself. That’s where your notepad comes into play: you can use
the Touch Screen to write down clues you spotted, the locations of
paintings that piqued your interest and crucial details you were told
by pivotal characters. You never know when the info might be useful…
