Puzzle League DS holds plenty of challenges for solo players, but the real test of one’s block-matching skill comes in battles against other League members. Players can connect via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to play opponents all over the world or hook up in the same vicinity using the DS wireless functionality.

When battling via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, chains you make will send “garbage” blocks (empty stacks of blocks that rest on top of the puzzle blocks) to the opponent’s screen. This puts pressure on him to clear blocks before his blocks reach the top of the screen, ending the game.

When using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Puzzle League DS players can use
the voice chat feature and talk to an opponent they’ve exchanged Friend
Codes with! Friend Codes are special codes you can give to people you
know so that the two of you can find each other when you link up with
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
