INSIDE

THE ACADEMY

Welcome to the Academy! Like any good institute of education, the goal is to challenge your mind. Can you think your way to the head of the class? Before you can show your mental skills, you’ll need to enrol. Thankfully, there’s no waiting in line, buying books or paying excessive student fees at this Academy. You simply enter the in-game Office, select a Mii character to represent you and your official Student record book will be created for you by Dr. Lobe.

Meet the Headmaster
Professor emeritus of the Big Brain Academy is Dr. Lobe. Those who played the DS version of Big Brain Academy know he lives to encourage his pupils. He and his faculty members even give encouragement through the speaker in the Wii Remote. Dr. Lobe also gives out special Lobe medals for exemplary accomplishments. Can you earn gold Lobe medals in all disciplines?

The Classes
The Academy focuses on five areas of study: identification, memorisation, analytics, computation and visualisation. Each discipline contains three activities with which your brain is tested. To determine your grade and weigh your brain, Dr. Lobe tests you in each area of study, and your overall score is added together. Being strong in one category might earn you a few gold Lobe medals, but you’ll need to excel in all categories if you want to be the valedictorian!

Check Your Student Record
Once classes have begun, you can check your Student record at any time. The record shows your current grade, brain weight and medals of merit earned in your studies. Also included in the Student record is a Brain Graph that shows which of the five study areas is in most need of improvement. Think your grade should be higher? You’ll have to prove it in class!

If you’re connected to the Internet, you can use the WiiConnect24 feature to share your Student record with a friend who is also enrolled in Big Brain Academy for Wii.
